Cyber Safety

In this day and age when technology is around us it is important to be thinking about cyber safety.
It is easy for children and adults to fall victims to cyber dangers.
There are a number of issues that children can encounter when using digital technologies.

1st is Social Media
Here is a clip from a few years ago showing the impact of social media on our world.

As you can see the world is a connected place and our children want to tap into it and be a part.
Whether it is facebook, twitter, you tube or any of the other social media networks our children will be a part of it.
As parents we need to be informed and engaged with our children's online experience.

2nd is Cyber Bullying
This is a very real issue and is very painful and tramatic for those who have experienced it.

Cyberbullying is not on and we want to help the children understand this and provide a framework they can follow to help them if they are bullied.

This website provides great information for families as well as activities and games for the children to do to help them learn about cyber safety.
