Blast Cricket

On Thursday the 5^th of August a group of 16 students (a girls team and a boys team) went to Trinity to play a modified cricket carnival against other school teams from around the area.

 The boys played well after adapting to the new rules and won their first game of the day making a total of 239 in 8 overs. They then went on and were undefeated at the end of the day. At the presentations, the boys were announced the premiers and now will be heading to Adelaide to play other winners from other regions sometime in term 4.

The girls played extremely well for the majority of the group had never played cricket before. The girls played three games for the day and won all three. At the presentations the girls tied for first place but they had to split the win on average runs and wickets and sadly came second out of 7 school teams.

 It was a great experience for everyone who went and the boy’s team can’t wait for their next trip to Adelaide oval.
