Concert Wrap-Up

CONCERT WRAP UP!

A huge thank you to everyone who came and flew with the 4-7 students who put on an outstanding concert full of in-flight entertainment. We had an excellent attendance of approximately 450 people between both the Wednesday matinee and Thursday evening performances. It was a fantastic production with all students showcasing many of their gifts and talents. The in-flight entertainment started with 4/5 Newton and Siviour putting on a musical of Jack And The Bean Stalk. Miss Lytwyn's class presented A Tricky New Fool, full of aspiring jesters trying to impress the Queen. Miss Ross’ class performed So You Think You Are the Master Fiction Talent Factor Idol, a talent show where book characters battled it out to see who could take the ultimate prize.
After the in-flight refreshments were served, the senior unit students put on a late show with Luke and Halfback Darby. Starting off were some girls dancing the Can-Can. We then found out the Top 10 Four Square rules at Immanuel, followed by mime artists from the Hueppauff Academy Of Arts at the bus stop, Minnie The Moocher with some talented singers and then Things To Do With Random Objects (A Frisbee and Pipe). To finish the senior unit’s performance, there was a late night story from grandpa. Closing the evening was the entire years 4-7 cast singing Lean On Me.

A massive thank-you to all the parents who helped out the classes in preparation for the concert - whether it was painting and constructing props, sewing costumes or cooking. Thank-you to all the class teachers who helped students to learn their parts and organize their class and also thank-you to all the other staff who helped out at the evening performance. Finally, a huge thank-you to all the students who performed and made it a fantastic concert along with the helpful flight attendants who ensured the flight ran smoothly. Without everyone's contributions the concert wouldn't have looked as good. We really appreciated all your hard work!

We can't wait to see what the R-3 students put on next year!
